YOUR VISIT

There is time for the whole story.

The first visit is intentionally spacious. Complex health histories rarely make sense when compressed into a few minutes.

You do not need to know which pattern you have before coming. Bring the information that helps us understand where you are now; palpation and response will help guide the rest.

01

Before you arrive

Gather a current medication and supplement list, major diagnoses, surgeries, relevant imaging or laboratory information, and your current oncology schedule if applicable.

02

Conversation

We discuss the main concern, the longer health story, sleep, digestion, temperature, energy, pain, stress, recovery, medications and what has or has not helped before.

03

Palpation & diagnosis

Pulse, abdomen, meridians and areas of concern are palpated. These findings are considered together with your history.

04

Treatment

Treatment may include acupuncture, teishin or other non-insertive methods, moxibustion, cupping, hands-on techniques or discussion of herbal medicine when appropriate.

05

Reassessment

We look for immediate and between-visit changes, then use that information to shape follow-up care.

FOR MEDICALLY COMPLEX PATIENTS

Please bring the clinical context.

For cancer, transplant history, anticoagulation, immune suppression, major surgery, significant cardiovascular disease or other complex conditions, current medical information helps determine what is appropriate and what should be avoided.

Classical Thread is complementary care. Urgent symptoms and medical emergencies require appropriate medical evaluation.

QUESTIONS BEFORE BOOKING?

Start with fit.

If you are unsure whether this style of care makes sense for your situation, begin with a short inquiry rather than trying to decide alone.
